Welcome Director of Programs: Katie Samson

We could not be more excited to have Katie Samson become part of the Art-Reach Family on September 10th!

Katie brings with her a wealth of knowledge about cultural arts programming and education, along with a deep and personal experience with the disability community in Philadelphia. As the Assistant Director of Museum Education at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), Katie has built connections with both local and national partners including Mural Arts, University of Pennsylvania, Yale University, Cooper Medical School, Pew Center for Arts and Heritage and the William Penn Foundation. Prior to PAFA, Katie worked for the Rosenbach Museum and Library, and the Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block.

Katie also serves as the Co-Director and spokesperson for the Katie Samson Foundation, an organization that provides funding for research and quality of life programs for people with spinal cord injuries. As an advocate, she has taught Disability Studies at Cooper Medical School, West Chester University and Thomas Jefferson University.
