The 2019 Cultural Access Awardees

Member Agency Award: HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy

Arts Partner Award: Theatre Horizon
Theatre Horizon has a goal of making theater accessible to everyone. This award also recognizes their dedication to accessibility through their Saturday Autism Drama program. Click here to learn more about Theatre Horizon.

Individual Impact Award: Michael Anderson
Michael Anderson, of the Arc of Philadelphia, has personally advocated for accessibility to ensuring that people with disabilities who require a personal care attendant (PCA) can attend museums throughout the city without the financial burden of paying for their PCA.

Kimmel Award for Accessible Experience: The Philadelphia Orchestra
The Philadelphia Orchestra had an amazing mainstage, sensory-friendly performance in 2018. The performance included immersive experiences before the performance, including an instrument ‘petting zoo’ where people could try out instruments and a percussion circle. Click here to learn more about the Philadelphia Orchestra.
