A beautiful relationship blossomed when Swati, one of our In-Facility teaching artists from Musicopia, met our members, Alzheimer’s Association, the Delaware Valley Chapter. Swati teaches a workshop on Bollywood Dancing and uses dancing as a vehicle to showcase the diversity of culture, music, and the arts across India. She wrote a beautiful piece on her experience with them, particularly one charming participant named Michael, who asked brought a peaceful energy and thought-provoking questions to the session.
Through this session of dance, Swati and Micheal were able to cross cultures, passions, and stories to connect on a deeper level through the rhythm and movement of Bollywood flavor.
