Museum: Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens
Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens preserves the artworks of renowned Philadelphia artist Isaiah Zagar and educates the public about mosaic and folk art. Located at 1020-26 South Street, the Magic Gardens is a not-to-missed multi-sensory experience that includes a fully mosaicked indoor gallery and a massive outdoor mosaic sculpture that literally surrounds its visitors with a glittering display of ceramic shards, mirrors, colorful cement and found objects like bicycle spokes and bottles.”

While much of the Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens site at 1020 South Street is accessible to people who use wheelchairs, the site is not fully wheelchair accessible. There are 2 steps up to the front entrance on South Street but no steps from the main outdoor garden into the side of door of the gallery. The side entrance into the gallery is approximately 29 inches wide. Some parts of the garden can only be accessed by stairs. There is a wheelchair-accessible gated entrance on South Street that leads into the outdoor garden, and visitors who need to enter through the gated entrance on South Street should knock on the front door or call the front desk at (215) 733-0390 for assistance.
