Art-Reach Museum Partners

Art-Reach partners with over thirty local museums in an effort to provide our member agencies with deeply-discounted museum tickets. Art-Reach can also coordinate accomodations such as wheelchair accessibility, guided or touch tours and assistive devices when requested.

To book a trip, please complete the Ticket Request Form in its entirety and then email or fax it back to us at mbryan@art-reach.org or 215-568-2216. Please be prepared to present your requests at least one month prior to your desired trip dates.

*Prices listed include Art-Reach's service fee of $1 per ticket. The price listed is the total price per person for Art-Reach members.  You will be invoiced after your visit.

Eastern State Penitentiary

Opened in 1829 as part of a controversial movement to change the behavior of inmates through "confinement in solitude with labor," Eastern State Penitentiary quickly became one of the most expensive and most copied buildings in the young United States. Some of America's most notorious criminals were held in the Penitentiary including bank robber Willie Sutton and Al Capone.

The museum features guided and self guided tours, in addition to on ongoing art installations.

Hours of Operation: Mon. - Fri. 10am - 4pm  

Guided Tours: Are Available for Groups of 5 or more and are only available at the following times 9am, 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm, and 4pm.

Self Guided Audio Tours: Are Available for Group of 4 or less.

Adventure Aquarium in Camden

Adventure Aquarium is located at 1 Aquarium Drive on the Camden waterfront and is easily accessible from I-95, I-295, I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway), The New Jersey Turnpike, and NJ Route 30.

Preserves and promotes the contributions of Swedes and Swedish Americans in the United States.  The museum holds 12 permanent galleries, a changing exhibition gallery, and a library, each an outstanding example of 20th century Swedish interior design. A unique showcase of American art, featuring one of the largest collections of works by the Wyeth family. Also exhibits American illustration, landscape and still life paintings.  Their current exhibition is an exciting show featuring work by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Jamie Wyeth.

Using exhibits, interactives, videos and art, the Museum pays tribute to over 350 outstanding men and women who have contributed to our democracy. Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

America's first art museum and art school. The collection features American works from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries; the building is a national historic landmark and a work of art on its own, designed in the High Victorian Gothic style. The museum offers guided tours at no extra charge, but requires 2 weeks advanced notice. The museum does not have any dining facility on site.

Rising majestically at the end of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the Philadelphia Museum of Art stands among the great art institutions in the world.  In othe over 125 years since its founding, it has grown far beyond the limits originally set for it.  Today the Museum houses over 300,000 works of art encompassing some of the greatest achievements of human creativity, and offers a wealth of exhibitions and education programs for a public of all ages. Three weeks notice is needed to arrange a guided tour.

Paul Robeson House

Managed by the West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the Paul Robeson House Museum preserves the life and legacy of Paul Robeson, who was a leader in the arts, in linguistic study and music theory, in athletics, in civil rights, and in diplomacy. The Museum is dedicated to preserving a record of his struggles in advancing racial harmony, resolving conflict around the world, and fighting for justice for all Americans.

Rosenbach Museum and Library

Historic home and research facility including an extensive collection of rare books and outreach services.  This Fall the Rosenbach is offering a new exhibit called Look Again, that highlights African American history and offers free additional programming such as Jazz performance by Dave Burrell and storytelling by Linda Goss.

University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology

A museum dedicated to archaeology and anthropology; galleries and tours include: China, Native-Americans and Egypt, among others.  Current exhibition shows ancient native Mexican, Central, and South American artifacts. 

Hours: Guests are only admited for self guided tours at or after 12pm. Guided tours can begin as early as 10am. This museum is closed on Mondays.

Cost: $3.50 self guided for children

        $5.00 self guided for adults

        $80.00 flat rate for a guided tour for a group up to 30 people.

Guided tours must be set up with 2 months notice, and focus on one area of study.

Wharton Esherick Museum

Wharton Esherick was a pioneer in American sculpture style early in the 20th Century.  Joy, freedom and humor abound in the more than 200 pieces of his works -paintings, woodcuts, sculpture, furniture and utensils housed in his self designed studio at this site.  A delight for both children and adults.

Village features the Museum of American Glass, Creative Glass Center of America, Crafts and Trades Row, the Down Jersey Folklife Center and the Stained Glass Studio.
