Ambassador Trainer

What will I be doing?

Assist/Lead Introductory Workshop Training Sessions for new Ambassadors accepted into the program

What skills do I need? 

Exceptional public speaking skills and command of an audience, passion for teaching service standards and communication skills, and willingness to run training sessions after regular business hours.  In addition, you should be able to work with Microsoft PowerPoint during presentations.  This work is done in the Art-Reach office.

Internship Ambassador Opportunities

 
   
 

Fall Interns   

Start Date: Fall 2008/ flexible

Reports To: Program Manager and Program Director

Schedule: Business Hours - at least 10 hours per week

Service Length: 3 months/flexible

What will I be doing?

Interns experience all aspects of the daily workings at Art-Reach including arranging and hosting trips for members. Responsibilities include assisting Art-Reach staff, processing member requests, securing ticket pledges, assisting with current workshops, data entry, assisting in event planning, writing feature articles, updating web site copy, researching opportunities for new constituency relationships and assisting in developing these relationships. This experience is well suited for anyone looking for experience in non-profit organizations.

What skills do I need? 

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, have knowledge in Windows Operating System, be detail oriented and organized, be able to work independently or as part of team, be willing to take initiative and direction, and have a strong desire to learn new things everyday.

Education/Experience:

Ambassadors should be attending college or have a completed college level education. Experience with human service agencies, disability community, and/or the arts a plus.

GREETER HOSTS for Accessibility in Action Event

Presented by Enchantment Theatre Company, Art-Reach hosts an accessible performance of "The Snow Queen" at the Prince Music Theatre

Date:  Monday, 12/15/2008

Time: 6pm to 8:30pm

Reports To: Program Director

What will I be doing?

In partnership with Enchantment Theatre Company, Art-Reach will present a fully accessible performance of The Snow Queen that will feature American Sign Language, Braille and Large Print Programs, Captioning, and Audio Description. Following the 7 p.m. performance, there will be a dessert reception with the artists in the show. Art-Reach needs Greeter Host Ambassadors to record guest attendance, dispense tickets at the designated Art-Reach will-call table and to distribute accessible equipment to guests as needed.

What skills do I need? 

Impeccable interpersonal skills. Ability to dress and act professionally. Willingness and ability to follow direction and remain in attendance for the entire assignment. Excellent with customer care, be compassionate and be wiling to assist all patrons.

You should be excellent at customer care, be compassionate and be wiling to assist all patrons as needed.

What skills do I need? You will be fully trained in the policies and procedures associated with this assignment. You should be excellent at customer service and care, be compassionate, be able to manage unexpected situations as they occur and be wiling to have fun.

What skills do I need? You will be fully trained in the policies and procedures associated with this assignment. Y you should be excellent at customer service and care, be compassionate, be able to manage unexpected situations as they occur and be wiling to have fun.

This opportunity will match you up with a Specific Member Agency with unique needs so that you can assist with client care while they attend events.  You will accompany this member agency to multiple events that they will schedule through Art-Reach.

What skills do I need? 

You will be fully trained in the policies and procedures of member needs in regards to client care and accessible needs.  You may need to lift clients from wheelchairs to seats or vehicles.

To prepare for our annual fundraiser, Art-Reach hosts a reception to honor VIP guests and donors who help Art-Reach achieve our mission. This year's event will be held at the home of philanthropist Carole Haas Gravagno. Art-Reach needs 3 ambassadors to serve wine and care for guests.

What skills do I need? 

Impeccable attention to customer care. Ability to dress and act professionally. Willingness and ability to follow direction and remain at the reception throughout the entire event.

Annual Jazz Brunch & Silent Auction Event

Date:  Sunday 11/2/2008

Time: 9am to 3:30pm

Reports To: Program Director

What will I be doing?

Each year Art-Reach hosts a brunch and silent auction fundraiser with a different genere of jazz as the theme. This year's event will be held at the Park Hyatt and the Bellevue, at Broad and Walnut Streets in Philadelphia. We need a team of ambassadors to help us with various aspects of the day including: room set up, registering and greeting guests, monitoring auction tables, manning the Art-Reach information table, manning the cash-out tables at the end of the auction and clean up. Ambassadors who volunteer will be provided lunch separately from guests attending the brunch.

What skills do I need? 

Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to dress and act professionally. Willingness and ability to follow direction and remain at the brunch throughout the entire event. You should be excellent at customer service and care, be compassionate and be wiling to have fun.

Following the 7 p.m. performance, there will be a dessert reception with the artists in the show. Art-Reach needs ambassadors to greet guests and direct them to the Host Ambassador will-call table, set up the dessert reception, man tables at the reception and serve beverages.

What skills do I need? 

Impeccable interpersonal skills. Ability to dress and act professionally. Willingness and ability to follow direction and remain at the entire event. You should be excellent at customer service and care, be compassionate and be wiling to have fun.

  • Have received a formal acceptance letter into a specific track
  • Have completed training and paperwork appropriate to track level
  • Have appropriate background check on file
  • Pass all applicable performance reviews
